I don't believe massage therapy should be considered a luxury, rather it should be included in one's general and regular health regimen. My services are moderately priced, and I offer discounts when sessions are bought in bulk. My experience has taught that the maximum benefits of massage are realized on a cumulative basis, meaning multiple treatments over a period of time. The type, number, and frequency of treatments depend, of course, upon individual needs and goals. In general I suggest that new clients commit to getting frequent treatments to begin with. This allows them to experience first hand the powerful positive effects that massage can have on their lifestyle.
